Concept & Positioning

The project was developed under a “Nature-First” philosophy, focusing on three core pillars:

• Topographical Harmony: Ensuring the resort’s footprint follows the natural curves of the granite boulders and sloping hillsides.

• The Art of Living (L’Art de Vivre): A commitment to timeless elegance, where luxury is felt through textures, space, and personalized experiences rather than opulence.

• Biodiversity Sanctuary: Positioning the resort as a guardian of the land, specifically through its active protection of Hawksbill turtle nesting sites.

Architectural & Interior Approach

The architectural identity of Constance Lemuria is defined by its use of raw, noble materials that mirror the island’s geology. The structures utilize Seychellois pink granite, white marble, warm wood, and hand-woven thatch to create a “Seychellois Chic” aesthetic.

• Integrated Design: The buildings are strategically tucked into the lush canopy to maintain the island’s natural skyline. The use of open-plan pavilions allows the “Sweet Praslin” breeze to circulate naturally, reducing the reliance on artificial cooling.

• Interior Materiality: Following the 2016 renovation, the interiors were updated with a palette of “Oceanic Blue” and “Earth Tones.” The design uses light-colored limestone floors and high-quality wood joinery to reflect natural light, creating a bright, airy atmosphere that pulls the outdoors in.

• Water Narratives: The resort features a three-tiered swimming pool that cascades down the hillside, mimicking the natural waterfalls found in the Seychelles’ interior jungles.

Key Facilities

• Championship Golf Course: The only 18-hole golf course in the Seychelles (Par 70), famous for its dramatic 15th hole that overlooks the breathtaking Anse Georgette.

• Constance Spa: A sanctuary set in a bamboo forest, offering treatments that utilize the “Scent of the Seychelles”—local oils, coconut, and granite powder.

• The Turtle Sanctuary: A dedicated conservation hub led by an on-site manager to protect the nesting sites of the Hawksbill and Green turtles.

Constance Lemuria holds a unique position as a Pioneer of Eco-Tourism in the Seychelles. It was the first resort in the country to receive the Green Globe Certification, setting the standard for how large-scale luxury developments can protect fragile ecosystems.
